Went to the Detroit GP today with my son. Had practice sessions for IMSA, IndyNXT and INDYCAR, along with IMSA qualifying. The highlight of the day though was the sheer menacing sound of the Valkyrie. NA Cosworth V12, no hybrid. Being so close and with so much concrete and buildings adding to the echo was incredible. Sadly, this vehicle is probably a last of its kind. Still can hardly believe it exists in the first place. Originally when this car was being tested before the season, it had mufflers which reduced its sound significantly. The series president told Aston Martin to remove them! Good call.
