Too bad there's no more Forester XT. The only reason to buy Subaru is the Forester's big sunroof

Dying? I can throw a rock in any parking lot here and hit 20 of them.Proof, IMO, that Subaru is just dying.
Mine was mechanically reliable! Didn't burn a drop of oil either. All of my friends who own Subarus and claim they are so reliable also happen to own engine hoists.![]()
Proof, IMO, that Subaru is just dying.
Same here. I think about one of every four cars in my town is a Subaru of some sort. They're almost entirely SUVs, but that's a different side of the same coin.Dying? I can throw a rock in any parking lot here and hit 20 of them.
maybe they have money problems-competing on usa muscle market, and at same time competing on eu market (territory of co2 terrorists).Proof, IMO, that Subaru is just dying.
M2, M3, M4, 124, Miata, Cayman, Boxster, Z4, Supra, BRZ/GT86, Mustang, Camaro, GTI, R, Veloster N, Various big motor Mopars, various AMGs, and SxS are road legal in my state...I wish Toyobaru would come up with a 3 door fastback put a nice port injected 2.2L sohc wasserboxer with a solid cam OUT back,
rear wheel drive, Manual R&P up front with a nice FS spare tire under the bonnet and make it steer well with good seats and basic controls and the once ubiquitous but now largely absent "yank it E BRAKE".
Then I might be really interested enough for a test spin.
What happened to interesting and fun cars?
All we have is BMW M2 and the just defunct Alfa 4C
Yes Ariel Atom but not everyday.

Roofies: I appreciate the list, but I counter with these thoughts:M2, M3, M4, 124, Miata, Cayman, Boxster, Z4, Supra, BRZ/GT86, Mustang, Camaro, GTI, R, Veloster N, Various big motor Mopars, various AMGs, and SxS are road legal in my state...
I mean, yes, they are popular, but they also are lame and do nothing very well except be cheap.Dying? I can throw a rock in any parking lot here and hit 20 of them.
The Yaris GR, and it's an absolute animal.Roofies: I appreciate the list, but I counter with these thoughts:
Miata? maybe if it didn't tip over on its doors - could be fixed with bars front and rear I suppose.
Yes possibly Cayman and Boxter - used of course. No to the Zed 4 and Supra - too synthetic now - though I did enjoy my '98 M roadster before the Vanos gave up the ghost. Camaro possibly in LT-1 form, but a bit too much of everything. Mustang = rolling junk. Veloster is wrong wheel drive same with GTI and too pricey for what they are; But if I won one on the "Price is Right"
I would not toss it.
Piggy sedans are not sports cars - although I do appreciate a good handler with power and a row your own.
The row your own is mostly gone.
Didn't Toyota come up with a wrong drive hatch that was a good driver with a stick - maybe a corolla variant?
But every thing is 28g+ for an ecobox. That I will refuse all day when one can get good and substantial re-maned vintage for those $$
oops! Shouldn't this be in a Zee09 new car thread ?
Proof, IMO, that Subaru is just dying.
The sales curve up and up pre Covid seems to say otherwise. I don’t like them either now.Proof, IMO, that Subaru is just dying.
