I have a TDS meter for testing my drinking water (pre and post Reverse Osmosis).

Wondering if I could test coolant with this and if so what levels would be a cause for concern.

Would some light reading like this help? Looking at heavy duty coolant gives more detailed information because the subject has had a lot more interest than automotive coolant.

I was kind of hoping for a shortcut but I will read through that link. Thanks!

I know that my TDS meter is calibrated for water: http://www.tdsmeter.com/calibration_maintenance.html

So while I could put it in unused 50:50 coolant and see what the baseline is and then compare it against used coolant, I'm just not sure whether those readings are being measured in a meaningful way or how to interpret them.
