I saw something about this since it came up in the app regarding an update, which I have loaded. Borrowed my dad’s car to show this to my kid. Was amused for about 30 seconds. I think it might have made noises outside.
This is all over social media... some people think it's cool and other people think it's "Tesla forcing ads into cars."
Personally I haven't played with it, and won't... although it doesn't bother me if they put extra stuff in hidden in an app and completely optional.
But I've used other Toybox features. Of course, one of the first things I did was enable Rainbow Road. IYKYK![]()
that's where I'm at with it. Is there any way to opt out?other people think it's "Tesla forcing ads into cars."
You don't have to use it. It came up like a normal update and not some advertisement looking think at least. It does not turn on automatically. All I heard of it was that the turn signal sound is annoying so I didn't even try it. I have only driven to work since it downloaded so I didn't take any time to mess with it.that's where I'm at with it. Is there any way to opt out?
YYo

At least it doesn't offer a switch to turn it on when the update first shows on the screen. It does give instructions to get into the Toybox and turn it on though. That should keep the accidental activation from being an issue hopefully.Yup. One has to choose to enter the mode.
That being said, I could imagine the occasional Tesla owner who accidentally enters the mode and has no idea how to get out of it. My dad doesn't really know much about entering all the menus. If he drives it, he wants it to be as drama free as possible. I'm not even sure if he knows how to turn on the wipers, which requires going through the menus or giving a voice instruction, which he refuses to do. If it were a newer Tesla without a selector stalk, swiping to select park/drive/reverse would absolutely be insurmountable for him.
