Totally unrelated, but every time I see one of Cujet's posts, I can't help but notice that there's an apostrophe in "Turbo's Rule". I'm not an English major, but isn't that a possessive? The OP makes it seem that he does know that the plural of battery is batteries, not battery's, and that the intention in the signature is for 'turbo' to be plural, not possessive. Cujet seems like a pretty intelligent guy, but I see his signature and wonder, who is Turbo? What is his rule? I want to know!
Back on topic: Tesla can release spec sheets and renderings all day, but I'd rather they focus one or (or two) vehicles at a time. New Roadster looks great though.

A couple weeks ago, my neighbor who WAS very proud of his Tesla P100, was driving by in a different car and stopped when he saw me. It turns out he had been driving along when something in his P100 suspension failed, and he lost a wheel in dramatic fashion. Fortunately he had only bumps and bruises. I asked him what failed, but he's not a car guy per se, so couldn't say specifically, but it sounded like an A-arm broke. He said it appears that his low-mile car will be totaled.
The performance claims for this new car sound impressive, but they have a long ways to go before I would spend money on their products.

My prediction is that Tesla will still be around in 5 years, but they will only be producing the fancy high end cars that they make maybe 100 of a year for rich people.
They have customers lined up to buy the model 3 and can't get production going. Those who do own Teslas are having lots of issues with them. I hear from my friends who still work in insurance that repairing them is no picnic either, and parts are often on back order for months.
The minute someone like GM, Ford, or Honda comes out with similar technology while having the infrastructure to support it, Tesla will be out of the game.
Super cars seem easier to produce then mass produced vehicles in terms of manufacture. A lot more work by man instead of creating a bunch of machines to mass produce it and take a lot of time to get going. Logistics are much easier when you produce 1-2 cars per day instead of a line that cost in billions that needs a payoff.
