Taurus 9mm

This model pistol from Taurus is a solid design. I own 3 of them so far. Bought this when it first came out in 2013 as the Millennium PT111 G2. That is my carry gun still today. Bought 2 more as the G2c’s in 9mm one stainless one black. Plan to buy another in 40S&W. Just because it doesn’t cost $500+ doesn’t mean anything. None of mine have ever given me any type of problem. Can’t say that for my Glocks.

I've never been a taurus fan boy but after owning a TX 22 and having read some reviews on their recent models, I'm having a change in heart. I'm sure a G3 would be a fine shooter.

I've been very pleased with the way the 365 feels and handles, so I really don't see getting another pistol in that form factor.

I have a Taurus 709 slim. I bought it as a backup concealed carry, but don't trust it for such. It stays in my safe. I can't go through a full magazine without a FTE.

I've heard the G2 is a better pistol than the 709, but I don't have any personal experience with the G2.

The Taurus g3 line up is excellent, Taurus has done a full turn around compared to say.. 10 years ago or so

Just picked up one of these again but got the 40 S&W. It was $225 but there’s also a $25 rebate going on right now. Hard to beat.

I liked the 24/7, Raging Bull in .454 Casull, TX22 and Spectrum in 9 Kurz. They get better and better over the years. Their QC is better in their products vs automobile from Detroit.

I don't think I've ever fired a Taurus in any caliber, I once considered buying a Taurus Judge, I thought it would be different firing a 410 shotgun shell through a revolver, I used to have an AK-47 that thing was fun to shoot, very loud.

I think Taurus revolvers are of good quality. However in regards to semi auto's, they are not on par with say Ruger, Smith, Colt and others. Good but you get what you pay for.

My TX-22 is the bomb!!
I agree. So far it's been 100% and between size/fit, capacity, accuracy and reliability, it should pretty much be the standard by which other combat styled 22's should be measured.

I bought my wife a G2S (same as the G2C but slimmer and only holds 7+1 rounds) on Black Friday about three years ago for about $200. She loves it and so do I. Sure it's a cheap gun, but it's been nothing but a reliable and accurate pistol. It's my go-to when I do 9mm target practice / competition with my buddies. It surprises people for the price.

owned a few of this lineage... previously owned a PT111 G2 & two different G2C's and currently have a G3C; they work good, shoot well enough, and are a good choice for budget minded folks; I usually trade or sell them quick when I want something else

I recently picked up an optics ready GX4. It’s a really nice little gun. I was really impressed with the build quality and the trigger. It’s built just as good as any of my Glocks. I never thought I would buy a Taurus, but this thing is next level!. Almost exactly the same size as a P365 and hold 11+1 in the flush magazine.

I was looking at the g2c the other day with rebate it would have been like $190 delivered. After rebate. The one thing I wasn't super excited about was the safety.
I bought a s&w shield 1.0 with out safety a few years ago i am left handed and glocks were my first real pistols in the early 2000s.
Not a lot of options for south paws sub $500 pre 2010.

Posted In July about purchasing a G2c in 40S&W. Just today got to get to the range with it! Such a busy summer this year. Took the new 40 and another newer G2c in 9mm. Twins basically. Both performed flawlessly. Didn’t have a lot of time. 225 rounds through the 40, 200 FMJ both brass and aluminum. 25 HP’s, some 135 grain and some 180 grain Federal HST. Worked perfectly. Want to shoot at least 2-300 more rounds through it before carrying. The 9 was great too. I already put several hundred down range with that earlier this year. Just cleaned them and put in the safe. As I said before, hard to beat for the price. Reliable and seem to be of good quality. Own 3 of them in 9 and one in 40.
