Bought some T6 Rotella 0w 40 at Advance Auto on clearance a while back. All of my jugs have the SN rating on them.
Would anyone hesitate to use it in a 2017 Cruze 1.4 L turbo with approx. 50,000 miles (out of warranty)? Car is driven mostly short trips/city driving.

I think this will be a decent oil for a small DIT engine. I plan on using the T6 that I bought from AAP in a Delos specced vehicle as well.

Keep in mind that one of the issues with that type of motor is LSPI. GM identified calcium in the oil being a problem, hence the Dexos 1 gen 2 specification. I'm not sure what Rotella looks like spec wise, but I would be Leary of any high calcium oils based on that.

I’d use it worry free. The oil is likely better than any D1G2 oil.. I’d run something like this in the future as well.

Hopefully I didn’t wake the anti 0w40 clan. 😶

I'd only use an oil that is formulated with LSPI protection in mind, something at least SN+ and D1G2, failing that at least something that's SP/GF-6A.
