Hi Folks,
First time doing a 7500 OCI on this motor. Did end up finding an intake boot that was loose after this analysis, hopefully that brings the silicon down.
T6 5W-40 7500 OCI, VW Jetta 01 1.8T, 157,572 Mi

Excellent report! I think the oil starts out with 2-3 ppm of iron along with a few particles of silicon. Again 2-3 if I recall correctly. Fine oil for 7500 miles. Just picked up some 5w30 T5 and will go 7500 on it. Thank you for the report.
