Synthetic/regular

I'm new here and I suspect this question has been asked a million time but I couldn't find anything here. I'm putting a reman. 22re in my toyota truck. What oil would you reccomend? I was going to run regular for the first couple of oil changes(one at 50, 100 and 500) until it has broken in and then switch to synthetic. What is your opinion? Break-in periond? Type of oil? Oil change intervals? Etc.

You can start with synthetic if you want. Many cars are filled with synthetic from the factory.

You will get a lot of different opinions on this, but here is mine. Start with 5W30 dino and change it at 1000 miles. Change it again at 4,000 miles later and then move to 5,000 mile intervals. Start with either something from the Chevron family or something from the Conoco family. Move to Mobil 1 synthetic at 5,000 miles if you wish, but today's high quality dino oils are more than up to the task.
