When I get done with my run of Mobil Delvac 1300 15w40 I want to switch to either Mobil 1 Racing 4t 10w40 or Redline Motorcycle 4t 10w40. Redline is only a buck more per quart. Have not heard much about the Redline. Bike is a 08 Suzuki GSX650F.

I actually run Redline Racing 40wt in my Yamaha Raptor 700 4wheeler with great results. I've done a used oil analysis and the RL is doing a great job. I have no clutch slipage even though the used oil analysis said the oil has 838 ppm of moly. Good stuff.

If it does not slip great, if it does you'll know what the problem is. No way will I ever put redline in a wet clutch again. It takes time to develope issue, about 5,000 mile before I started seeing some mild clutch slippage under heavy load.
by the way, manufactures require meeting an MA friction gate, redline is an MB rated fluid= slicker

We are using Elf Moto 4XT Tech in our Hayabusa engined Radical SR3 after switching from Fuchs Silkolene. We also considered Elf's Moto Sport 4 Campione, but the 10W-60 seemed a bit heavy. With the Moto 4XT tech, it's running smoother and cooler.

I have 40,000 miles on my valk,with plenty of triple digit runs and the engine still runs like new.
I use supertech 10w30 synthetic(not poa).

Really cant go wrong with any hdeo like delvac, rotella, delo all stout add packs and good oil overall.
Like buster said, M1 is very good as is amsoil. Buster has said in the past that moto specific oils generally have better add packs , higher flash points and withstand shearing more.

Nah ... just kidding. I've got Rotella 15w40 conventional in there right now. Works perfectly well.
We've had these discussions before. The merits of synthetic are, I think, a bit mythical at this point. It's perfectly good stuff, but I'm not sure the marginal benefit exceeds the marginal cost. Maybe for cold weather starts. Maybe for air-cooled engines in Houston in August in a traffic jam.

But the bottom line is this -- if your oil choice lets you sleep well knowing your two-wheeled baby is safe ... it's cool.

I'm a bit confused about your pricing comment. You can get a synthetic for a dollar more than the Devlac? Jeez, Delvac 1300 is $9 a gallon, and has a $3 rebate right now (that's equivilant to $1.50/qt!!!!!).
I agree that you must run what you must run; to deny your inner-self leads to conflict. But when I sleep at night, I not only worry about how well my engine is "protected", but how well my wallet made it through the day as well.
I seriously doubt you will find anything, anywhere that will beat the performance/dollar ratio of HDEO!

ccdhowell do you remember the Phosphorus and Zinc content of the Redline 40wt? i made a search,nothing..
i am considering to use it in an air cooled engine (gets really hot here in Greece sometimes,last summer was 116F)..The clutch is the centrifugal type,what do you think?
