Maxlife has a shot of esters in it to keep seals pliable. It is safe to use in a new transmission. It isn't using chemical softeners which swell the seals.

D4 will hold it's viscosity better and being ester based means it's basically very good for the seals as well. It will handle temps better than Maxlife as well.

Maxlife is a solid fluid.

D4 is simply better for your purposes in this case.
