Syntec 5W30... SJ.... at K-Mart...tonight !!!

Found an old "square" bottle of Castrol Syntec 5W30 SJ on the shelf at a K-Mart tonight! Gave the night manager a dollar for this "obsolete" oil. What a hoot.

Made me wonder if anyone "collects" un-openned "old" oils here at BITOG? I've started tonight!

Interesting. At the local Kmart store, they have 3 or 4 dozen bottles of SJ rated 5w50 Syntec, still at the regular price. What good is this old oil? I imagine it'll gather dust for a long time to come with it still being at the regular price.

Plenty of Mobil 1 "Tri-Synthetic" on the shelves at my local (Brownsburg, Indiana) K-Mart. I'ts like a neutron bomb went off, this huge store with a handful of workers and no customers.
Wal-Mart quarter mile down the street looks like a mob scene.
