I have a 1994 dodge shadow and the manual trans. it says to use 5w30 motor oil i was wondering if i could use synchromesh would it make it smoother

Synchromesh or an equivalent, like Amsoil MTF, BG Syncroshift II, Honda MTF, or Redline MTL, are some of your options.

I would upgrade my trans fluid if I had that car.
Another option is Pennzoil Synchromesh, available at auto parts stores for $6-7/qt.
I like
Redline and Amsoil best, however.
