does seem a bit strange to me. I must say as far as snake oils go i have tried slick 50 and QMI and while i received no noticeable benefit from them neither did any failure occur. Used slick 50 and QMI in a 92 chevy 350 and slick 50 in a 94 Saturn SL1 . I will say the pickup started in -45 degree weather in Suite Saint Marie Mi one year when others were being towed to warm locations. Not changing the oil for 100,000 miles plus seems extremely far fetched to me. Good luck and let us know your results
