I usually just stop at Napa for these for the wifemobile, but these are half retail. Figured someone could use a pair.

I've had good results with Phillips VisionPlus and X-tremeVision bulbs, just don't expect them to last, VisionPlus was 'reasonable' lasting a year or longer. I switched to LEDs on both cars thou and we are very happy with light output and longevity.

Only do that if your car has projectors unless blinding others is your end game.

Also here in my state they are failing cars for LED/HIDs in cars without projectors. A few of my customers failed for that.

Dang, tough crowd. I've always had good luck with these. Oh well.
It's just the internet. Keep posting deals if you find them. I've had good luck with these but don't really need 9004.

I also wondered if they're counterfeit as the seller seems to just sell overstock or random stuff (sunscreen etc). But I couldn't find any fb complaining of fake merchandise, so they're probably real.

Those are a somewhat obsolete size, high and low beam together, for first generation aero bulbs. Could be just a legit clearance.

I used to love the light these things put off and used them 20yrs ago. I never had one last more than 14 months and they would have a way of failing on the coldest week of the year, right when you don’t want to be fishing a bulb into an obstructed socket bare handed.

Please do not take my, or others, criticism as personal; just an honest opinion from experience as a mechanic of this product. I agree its a good price compared to what others charge, but not a good product itself IMO.

These bulbs have a very short lifespan and many younger people do not know that and thing something is wrong with their car. I have had some bring me a car after their headlights kept going bad as they did not know to not touch the glass.
But if someone knows that and is ok with it then this is a good price for what it is.

So if in doubt please post any deal you see and let everyone decide for themselves.
Thanks again for posting.

Alternators are temperature compensated, putting out more voltage when it gets colder. So it's not just bad luck or less sunshine as reasons that bulbs blow more often in the winter.

Use the SYLVANIA XtraVision 9003 (H4) . The bulbs are clear making a bright white light to help distinguish at night . Last for years . The 9003 (H4) are $20.97 at Walmart . The PHILIPS Vision Plus are another alternative . Used those in the past and have same lighting as the Xtra Vision .

I bought 2 sets. They are excellent during the winter when more of our driving is at night.

They usually last 6 months in the Volvo 240s.

The 9004/HB1 is a rotten design to start with. Not much can be done to improve it.

A whopping 700 lumen low beam and 1200 lumen high beam, transverse filaments, poor focus.

I swear I've substituted an alterative bulb where these are supposed to go. Something meant for motorcycles.
