Swiss, Austrian and German Fuel prices.

Just $9.84/gallon for diesel, at the current exchange rate. It was closer to €1.00/Liter when I was in Germany a few months ago. I suspect you might be able to find a better price if you search around for a bit.

First one is in Swiss Francs. The next and this one from Austria. This one was way off the beaton track near Braunau, Austria, thus in Euros.

Wow, the Europeans have been incrementally been taking the shaft, and it's happened so slowly and progressively I doubt anyone's noticed to protest. Imagine the shock and horror on their faces if, in 1963 they were given a glimpse of the future.

If not true compared with our take-home pay, then certainly true with the 12 mpg vehicles people were driving back then.
When were those taken? I was in France a 3 weeks ago and gas was about 1 Euro/liter.
Those look about like the prices in Europe when oil was at it's peak price about a year ago.

Europeans pay for way more with gas taxes then just roads and bridges.
