It has been awhile since I have made it over to these parts. I finally found a job and have been working my butt off since I started...

The truck is needing an oil change. Been about 6 months or so, some water may have gotten into the oil as well, but can't decide what to go with. The HD30 is something like $3 per quart ($3x6=$24) whereas the "universal" 30 weight is about $18 for 8 quarts IIRC.

The universal 30 says something about diesel engines too, where the HD30 is labeled basically for gasoline engine.

Which should I go with? It is for a 1986 F150 4x4, 5.8L HO with ~193,000 miles on it. Motorcraft FL-1A filter though for sure.

Thanks for the help!

Seems like a bit better oil reading the label. Was curious if anyone here had any experience with it. Might as well get the bigger jug since it is cheaper anyways.
