SuperTech Atf Good?

I have a beater (91 buick skylark 3.3 auto) that I want to change the ATF in. I already bought 5qts of some Castrol Dex III, BUT ...

...How good is SuperTech Dex III? It was a third the cost of the Castrol.

FWIW: past service history: one pan drop at 40Kish and full fluid exchange at 65K. Now at 85K.

Nice thing about specs and licenses....if it meets it then it meets it.

Sure, don't expect miracles out of the stuff, but it passed the test.

Been using supertech dexIII/mercon for a while. Works just as good as the name brands.

Not that great but it will last about 30,000 miles then it is pretty much out of anti0oxidents! You do not get something for nothing.

I use the SuperTech ATF+3 stuff - and do a full fluid exchange at 20K miles. I'd change the fluid at 20K miles anyway, and have used Castrol and other brands in the past.

If you had a weak Chrysler 4 speed, you'd change every 20K miles too.

If you're suggesting he use ATF+3, that is the WRONG fluid for him to use in a GM transmission. He should stick with Dexron.

Not at all, just saying I use SuperTech ATF+3 and it's fine IN MY CHRYSLER.

ATF+3 is not for GM.

Used it in my GM 4t65-E several times. No problems, but I changed the fluid alot.

Used it in a 4t-65e and 2 4t-60e's without a problem. I won't keep it in for an extended interval, obviously.

I would use ST ATF just as long as I would any other conventional ATF.

It seems that some think ST atf does not last as long as name brand atf and this is false.
