Supertech all makes, all models

I was in Wally's this morning picking up some "all makes all models" for my daughters Protege and while reading the label of the 50/50 premix and the concentrate, the list of ingredients is somewhat different. The premix listed: water, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol,and something listed as NJTSRN QT1, while the concentrate listed the same two glycols, but also listed two sodiums, one being sodium 2 ethyl hex something or other (the dexclone ingredient).

I would have thought the only difference would have been the water added for the premix.

Are these two really different chemistry? They are both labeled Supertech "all makes, all models".

I'd quess the Mazda was spec'd G-05. The real question is what was in it last drain or flush. Seems like you must have changed the factory fluid before you got to 80K.
If I'm just draining I try to use the same eg GM already on dexcool I'll use that all brands as its dexcool . Green older cars - I leave green.

Also they both sound like dexcool for the ST.

I don't have her owners manual now but, if I remember correctly, I believe it just called for good ethylene glycol based antifreeze back in '99. I bought this car at 47K and drained/filled with the Supertech Pre-mix at about 50K and now again at 80K. I have lots of service records from the original owner, but antifreeze replacement wasn't one of them. I'm not concerned with the cooling system, the coolant has always been clear and crude free.

I was just curious why the Supertech concentrate and premix listed different ingredients. If in fact the premix doesn't have sodium 2EH, so be it, but whats the NJTSRN QT1 thats listed?

Could be the same thing. But, I guess that some states keep track of certain chemicals in certain products.

Maybe some politicians think that MSDS's don't provide enough info?

It should work. It doesn't satisfy Honda's desire for a HOAT formulation but it should work OK.

if you flush the system, i would think it would work for ANY car...
