Spotted.
Wow, you have FOUR different Super Tech (aka SuperTech) options! We only have two in Ontario that I know of, Full Synthetic and High Milage Full Synthetic.Spotted.
...
Saw it at mine as well two days ago. Don't know if I'll ever get the chance to try it since there are other more preferable options I'd rather get at a similar price. Maybe if they lower it to a more sensible 20-23.0W-40 SuperTech is carried by our nearest Walmart now, as well.
Or Quaker State Euro 5w-40 or Pennzoil Euro L 5w-30. For me, I'm looking for BMW LL-01 or LL-04 approvals for my BMWsPrice point makes it tough to choose this over Mobil 0w-40
That’s not the only thing, the lack of actual approvals is also a factor.Price point makes it tough to choose this over Mobil 0w-40
There's no reason to buy it, IMO, if the company that sells the product gives it only two stars out of a possible five that they give for other oil.Meets the Porsche A40 requirement and is only two stars.![]()
Today I learned msds.walmartstores.com was a thing and tried it with other oils. I'll have to save that for later.Surprisingly high PAO content. Higher than EM/Castrol

Yup. Good base oil for sure. But, the detergent formulation, Anti-wear package and viscosity thickener might be inferior to EM/Castrol.Today I learned msds.walmartstores.com was a thing and tried it with other oils. I'll have to save that for later.
That's why I was surprised about it in post #4 and figured it may not be overpriced at $27 if it can deliver a 12.8 kv100 with 3.7 hths, a respectable noack and lower vii than castrol and likely mobil 0w-40.
But with 60% pao I'm considering it now.
I seen this ST 0w40 in my local WM yesterday. I agree on the price point. If it was $19 like the rest of the 10K ST synthetics it would be a good deal but not at $27. Pritzker initially priced the ST synthetics very high when they bought out WPP and eventually reduced them most likely due to lack of sales (competing against QS and others on "Rollback").....I'm betting that will happen with this 0w40 ST...probably down to $22 or $23.Price point makes it tough to choose this over Mobil 0w-40
Even then with no actual approvals on it, for $5 I'd be hard pressed to pick that one over one that has the approvals.I seen this ST 0w40 in my local WM yesterday. I agree on the price point.
