does anyone know if i can get a supertech oil filter for the 8.1, all i can find is the fram, microgaurd, wix and napa filters around here

Use the WIX/NG on that 8100 much much better built filter,there high quality.
i have been using microgaurd, but i think ill be going back to wix or baldwin, which are really the same thing, baldwin makes wix so...

No. Baldwin and Hastings are manufactured by the same company. Wix manufacturers Wix ..and a bunch of others ..for others.
That is, unless THAT part number fills the WIX lineup with a Baldwin ..or Wix fills the Baldwin/Hastings line up.
No manufacturer makes all filters. Filler stock is always rebadged or whatever so that reps can offer everything to everybody while using one source.
