Sunroof

My Mom has a 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and her sunroof will not work, we put in a new switch and it still did not work, they are away this week and I tried pushing the button and it moved a tiny bit, but I could not get it too move again.

GM is no longer stocking parts for this window, could this be a relay or electric motor problem, I am thinking since it moved a tiny bit it is the relay, and yes we checked the fuse.

I do have too say that my Mom uses this sunroof alot.

Sounds like you are getting power to the motor, so a fuse or relay is not the problem.
The window itself is sticking, or the motor or gearing is faulty.

there is some dude online, I think it's 'the sunroof doctor' that should be able to help you out.

The sunroof motor in my 1997 Monte died when it had about 140K miles. IIRC, it was about $120 from GM Parts Direct, installed it myself in about 30 minutes.

When I'm home I can let you know what the P/N is, I probably still have the receipt somewhere.
