Heres a good question for you marine engine oil eggspurts!
Whats the best sump oil to use for a pair of Honda 115 HP 4 stroke OB's Year 2000 models with ~ 700 hours use!
They are used in a marine environment where the boats in the water 24/7/365 and it;s salt water not a lake - i.e. salt environment!
Last thing I need is rusty/stuck valve stems etc...or excessive sodium levels causing corrion internally when not used!
Use the boat professionally - it does fishing charter work and is used for Seatow - towing and salvage work as and when required.
Should I go fully synthetic?...or is there a specially formulated marine 4 stroke OB sump oil, that will work well in the Honda's?
Typically the oils will see 100 hours hard use (The boast slightly underpowered IMHO and turns from 24 - 30 knots WOT with a belly full of gas to lightship.

These gals are always working hard, theres no downhill runs in the ocean and they push 3 tonnes a recycled beer cans along for long periods without complaining!
They operate from temperate to tropical area's!

I'm all ears!

Cheers!
