Looking to substitute the expensive kerosene smelling water thin oil used in the front hubs of the Sportsman quads.. ATF or 0w20? Would that be thin enough to allow operation of the clutches? I have plenty of either - could blend something like a drop of kerosene or diesel to thin it... Nothing especially needy in there, 4 tapered bearings and that silly clutch setup.

In my front differential on my RZR 800 I use Tractor Supply Traveler Universal Tractor Trans Hydraulic Oil it is John Deere Spec J20C which works perfect on Polaris AWD hubs and differentials.

No personal experience, but I know that some people report good results with Type F.

A quart of Polaris Demand Drive was enough for 3 oil changes in the front diff on my popo.

How much does a qt of Polaris Demand Drive cost ? 1 gal JD Hy-Gard cost $ 14- $ 15, JD Hy-Gard is really good oil.
