Subaru Map light turns on randomly

2020 Crosstrek, just started this. Google shows some people with similar issues but no solutions. I'm going to pull the bulb for now. Verified all switches Off or to Door. There are 2 lights but only the right one has been on so far. We lock the car and verify lites are off. Check 1-2 hours later and it is on. Unlock the car, push the light to turn it off, and it seems to stay off till the next time it happens. Appears the fuse goes to something called Body Integration Unit, Keyless Entry, Radio Memory, and Clock, so can't pull the fuse. Base model, simple key fob, no Remote Start. Also verified (and apologized) that Wife did NOT leave it on. lol Man, I love my 22 year old Tacoma more and more.......

The more plumbing there is the easier it is to clog up the pipes.

Does your Crosstrek have a convenience light option that turns on interior lights when you approach the car?


Try isolating the fob

Wow, the left light came on tonite........pulled that bulb too.
