Stuck engine

I have a sbc that sat and the cyl walls are crusty i have sprayed it with 4way and its been sitting. I was thinking about using rust remover on the places its what menards sells evapo rust or whatever. Thoughts. I just want to get to turn over so i can access the damage without causing any further damage

Spray the cylinders with some kind of penetrating oil. Put it on engine stand and take it apart. Spinning it over is not gunna tell you what's wrong.
