I was at a campground last week (campgrounds always have old stock oil) and they had SJ "STP Series 500 with Magnesium" motor oil. IIRC the small print on the lower back of the bottle said "First Brands." Seems STP has great success with the motor honey type stuff and everything else they come out with is a flop, like the 6000-Mile Oil Extender they had a few years ago.

I suppose all they had to do was add a bottle of STP engine treatment to a 10w oil and you'd get about a 10w50!

They used to sell it at NHD stores--remember them? They've since gone out of business. They used to sell STP oil and air filters there as well and then Lee filters for a while. (both made by Champion)

Was it really STP or some company licensed to use the trademark?

Remember that STP has changed hands over the years - to First Brands and now to Clorox. STP has also licensed its trademark to Champion Labs for sales of filters.

I do remember Slick 50 synthetic motor oil. The strange thing was that it was just an API licensed motor oil and didn't include any PFTE.
