So I got these STP maximum life oil filters. Part number is S8AML. Bought a hill case of 12 cuz I rather have a nitrile anti drain back valve. I was having problems with the Motorcraft straining back especially with synthetic oil. They say made in the USA I'm going to assume it's probably a Purolator. I have a very thick case, they're heavy. Cost 39.99 for 12 on ebay. What yall think?

I don't particularly like the way they were shipped. They were taken out of their boxes, shoved in one big box with their little boxes and one has a dent in the top of the can, so I might just cut this one open to see what's inside.

Please cut this dented one

Thank You 🍺🇺🇸🇨🇦

Yes. they have a Purolator date code. Cut the dented one ... I wouldn't use that one.

What Motorcraft filter? Most have a silicone ADBV.

The FL1a. They all seem to drain back during the night. Bought these to see if the nitrile will do better.
"These" meaning the STP filters? If so, they have a silicone ADBV.

If it's orange, it's highly likely that it's silicone. That's why I said those STPs have a silicone ADBV.
This is a extended life STP filter. Not the regular blue can. Can is gray, silicon valve with a synthetic media rated at 15k. Cost about 9 bucks at autozone. Stp made some changes and no longer sell this particular filter. I'm assuming they changed vendors aswell. The newer highend stp say Made in China.
