This was the filter that was on My dad's car when he bought it in early 2021, the dealer reported to Carfax they changed the oil when they took possession of the car my dad bought it with around 81500mi on it, I changed it at around 87500 when the OLM went off so I'm not sure if the dealer actually changed or if they changed it and didn't reset the OLM the previous oil change was reported at 77500mi from Midas at the end of October 2020, I think the OLMs on these cars may goto 10,000mi or 1 year but they may be more intelligent and I don't know how the previous owner drove it, if they idled a lot or not. The date on the filter is 10/27/20, so it'd be hard to believe that if Midas changed the oil that they'd have got an STP filter that was only 2 days old, plus Midas seems less likely to use an Autozone filter than a Kyundai dealer that likely doesn't stock 3/4-16 filters. The filter looks good overall, the felt caps are in tact the media is straight, the Combo Valve seems a little stiff the part that sits down in the filter actually feels kind of plasticy, but this filter was removed from service over a year and a half ago and has sat on the shelf since so I don't know if it was that hard when it was removed or if it hardened after being used then left sitting in a garage for 18 months. Also the metal dust in the can is my doing from hack-sawing it open. The seam isn't seperated, I couldn't get a great picture of it, the seam is in tact just the pleat spacing is really close for the adjacent pleat.
