Has anyone had experience with STP gasoline additives? I've heard that they're excellent products for the money, but have never use them personally. A good friend of mine tells me that they will clean up your cylinders and give you much better fuel economy by cleaning your injectors. He tells me that they work like those advertised in the Shell commercials that claim to give better fuel economy. Any thoughts?

The only gasoline additive that I've ever used is Techron, the CONCENTRATED Techron. I understand that STP, like Techron, comes in two strengths and that the stronger STP is similar in application and results to the concentrated Techron. Offhand I can't tell you the labeling differences, but the stronger formulations are more expensive and generally don't tell you to use the additive as a matter of routine. i.e., "add a bottle to your tank every 3000 miles" etc.

never had any positive results with STP in the gas. They used to offer a heavy honey like oil additive, that I put in old trucks. It seemed to make a difference in oil consumption.

Who has experience with Nutra from Schaeffers?

Add it to the oil on a diesel for 500 miles, or add it to the gas tank on gassers?
Any experiences with this one?
Contact, says he has increased gas mileage dramatically...up to 5 mpg...hipe or hype??
Any experience out there. I am going to try it both ways( on 7.3 Diesel and gas engines),and see what the picture really is...let me know your thoughts or experiences

I've tried it (Neutra) and nothing drastic but I commonly put cleaners in my tank. I like mixing acetone and toluene from a hardware store in a 1:3 mix.
