I usually keep my top-up oil bottles in the trunk.
With the temps these days getting close to 100 F, is it perhaps better not to keep oil in the trunk for several hot months?
Can this harm the oil, or am I being overcautious?

The thing is, I might need the oil suddenly, so I don't know if I should keep it in the house, where I can't get to it, if needed while on the road?

What's the best solution for this?
Thanks.

You will be safe, just check the caps once in a while to be sure they are tight. I think the oil would rather be at 100F instead of 200F...LOL

Not only that, the oil is not being squeezed through bearings and cylinder walls at high rpm's. It's only sitting in the bottle shaking around a bit. No problems!

Thanks guys, the top-up oil will stay in the trunk, then.

I only moved the non-emergency oil(RL) stash and rarely used addtives(SOT) for "neat" reasons out of the trunk, and into the kitchen, under the sink...hehe wonder when the wifey would find it there...:-)
