This makes me so incensed. I'm not a kill 'em all and let God sort them out person in any way, but I'm ready to see some serious punishment laid down on these delusional eco-terrorist offenders. Twenty years seems like a reasonable sentence for attempting to damage famous and irreplaceable works of art or immensely important historical objects.

Deface a UNESCO heritage site just to make a point to stop oil...."smart". Plenty of places to live where there's no oil if they so chose. They're no better than Green Peace.

Concur. Idiots.

I guess for those that believe that the extremely rapid rise in global temperatures, is caused by burning fossil fuels. And then they look forward 100 years to what the likely effects of much higher CO2 concentrations and global temperatures are predicted to cause, especially in the worse case scenarios... We are pretty lucky they are just doing graffiti at this point.

Personally I'm pretty sure we (as a planet) are taking a very large risk in not reducing greenhouse gasses significantly. I am glad some people have the guts to attract attention to it, although it would be much better to paint some shell/exxon/etc. office buildings or something related to the industry...

So its okay if you agree with them, for them to paint/deface others property , like exxon, their offices. Where then is the line. If i ride a bike and i consider your cars to be the problem, is it ok for me to paint them ? If your house is bigger than mine, paint it?

I don't condone defacing anyone's property corporate or private. Not the mark of a civil society. It's lawless.

You should go talk to China.

I'm in agreement with you on the desirability of reducing CO2 emissions.
Why vandalize an ancient work of astronomical observation engineering in support of that?
Spray down some gas stations or an oil company office or the offices of any maker of large and thirsty personal vehicles.
Stonehenge?
Can't see any connection with fossil fuels.
As an aside, if Stonehenge were located in our country, what are the odds that it wouldn't be heavily tagged?
I'm guessing somewhere around 0%.

We are pretty lucky? They are pretty lucky!

Take it further with things like arson and such, they will wish they were in the safety of a jail because they'll end up in a morgue somewhere.
