I have the KM-110 powerhead and need to address some grass on an embankment, as well as some weeds, and other growth.

The issue I see with the FH-KM adjustable scythe, is the small 10" blade. The HL-KM adjustable hedge trimmer has a 20" blade but obviously for a different purpose.

Has anyone used the 20" hedge trimmer to lay down some tall grass and weeds or would this just hack them up?

A weed eater can work but a scythe would be far easier for my tasks, I wish they offered a 20" version of the scythe.

as a matter of fact, I used a battery powered hedge trimmer two weeks ago to cut some rather tall weeds. worked like a charm.

Ive used Makitas version of this they call an articulating hedge trimmer.

It will work for what you are proposing but it will be a grind as gets heavy quick.

I have a push string trimmer for obstinate weeds that will easily slice through them. It was pretty cheap.

It will work fine, hedge trimmers can cut thicker branches from hedges/bushes, it will work on grass and weeds no problem.
