Got a newer 301 12ga.

Its a rust magnet. I cannot stop it. Its always getting rusty since day one.

I've done and tried everything. Everything.

Motor oil, trans fluid, gear lube, wd40, rd90, ballistol,....

The only time it manages to not rust is when its slobbed with grease so thick that you either can't hang onto it or the gun will blow up because its so thick inside the bore.

Its cheap, I like its design. Just... Jesus. I hate it.

I was doing pyrodex rs reloads, but that shouldn't make a difference on the OUTSIDE of the gun...

There's actually pits started inside the chamber bore now because it sat and I didn't keep up on it.

Incorrect. GSR goes everywhere. And if it is corrosive, then that will go everywhere else too.

Low Pressure Smokeless Load Data for a muzzleloader: Demonstration DVDs now available

This load data is similar to that used by the Savage 10ML muzzleloader, but with lower pressures.
