Can someone confirm that bottles of oil that have a square symbol on the bottom with a "G" in the middle are made only by ExxonMobil?

I took a quick look in the garage. Mobil 1 5qt jugs had the "square G", as did the Chevron 1 qt bottles. The Mobil 1qt bottles had a 3-C symbol. It's just whoever they contract for bottle manufacturing.

The "Box G" logo belongs to Graham Packaging, one of the larger players in the automotive chemicals packaging industry.

Another is Consolidated Container Corp with the CCC logo.

These larger companies offer contract packaging services with blowmolding of bottles at the blending site. Bulk plastic resin is cheaper to ship around the country than molded bottles, which, by volume, are mostly air.

See the Graham Packaging Link for more info.
