No really, that's what I saw on the back of the bottle of M1 0w8 that I found at Walmart

It might be simply that the design of the ad material on the back did not leave enough space for the inclusion of the same material in the French language which is a requirement in Canada.

Some say that the ESSO products were superior. More tailored to the Canadian market, especially the HD and industrial products, but not superior imo.

The writing on the bottle seems sparse, and there are not as many OEM approvals to list, either, so there is plenty of room for another language
