We are going to change the fill to Mobil 1 0w40 like everything else here as long as it will hold it without vaporizing, if not..my next thought is Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w40..spec is 10/30 but many use 1-2qt. in 3k we don't know that yet..has the F20C AP1 with 105k mi.

Wow nice s2000. And im sure the 0w-40 will hold up well. How much was it if you don't mind me asking. I know the market for the s2000 was already crazy before but with covid I've heard of clapped out examples still fetching well over 20k
Ya the redline is a crazy 9k..I looked at some youtube vids..nuts.
Yeah this piece looks like it's in great condition. i saw an ad for one with ruined paint, 140k miles, horrid mods, and a decent amount of body damage with an asking price of 18k and it was a blue title no less. Insanity.

Didn't they revise these later on so they would have more power in the lower end. Having to floor the snot out of something to get power is weird to some of us with low rpm torquey engines. One of the things the new Nissan z does super well is make peak torque throughout most the whole rpm range.

Mobil 1 0W-40 will work great in the S2000. Had one myself until a few years ago, that's all I ran in it. 193K miles on it when I sold it. Fun car.

Super fun car. It was really before the days of GoPros/dash mounts and right before the iPhone hit, but I'll have to dig up some videos we made with a regular camera set to video mode. Mine ended up getting totaled in Atlanta when a police officer ran a red light. (This was when they first introduced that left turn blinking yellow arrow in turn lanes). He said he glanced up and saw the yellow and thought he could go through the light even though I was green. Still makes me sick thinking about it.

Make sure you replace or clean the VTEC feed filter.

The S2000 handled better and was roomier. The M showed it's front mac struts aren't as good as Honda's upper and Lower A arms.
The M engine also ate its VANOS timing guides. That wont happen on the Honda.

One of Honda's masterpieces without the nsx pricetag. If its going to be spirited driven run a good filter wix or m1 change oil @ 3k intervals Mobil 1 10w30 or Castrol edge would be my choice.

Sweet ride! Would love to own one but just about choked when I saw what they are fetching for good condition with 100k+ miles. “Settled” for a ND2 Miata.

Those engines love to rev the tach shoots up like a junky in a alley. Can that kn looking intake pick up a spoon racing air cleaner
