Some maintenance & repairs to the trusty steed.

totally cool. I love sleeper trucks since the Typhoon and Syclone days. (Probably showing my age).

So wait - would you "prototype" changes or test each build before shipping out?

Both, If shipping a unit overseas.....It was installed & driven a minimum of 100 miles. I could R&R the unit in under an hour.....These old square bodies have tons of room. I no longer ship units, The headache & hassle wasn't worth it.

The testbed stuff on the other hand.....I really enjoyed, It let me test parts, clearance, & tuning strategies (Hydraulic & Software) that wouldn't be possible on a customers vehicle. I burnt down & broke a few units along the way.....But in the end created some really good "recipes" for 4L60E & 4L80E builds/calibrations.

Probably seems funny to use a C20 Suburban for such things, But it's heavy & has phenomenal weight transfer with a 1000# toolbox right behind the Tailgate.....It would HOOK. Perfect for stress testing a transmission.
