We are in the midst of the very rough time I have been dealing with both of my cats not doing well. Chloe our calico cat has end stage renal disease… Amd $2,100 so far in emergency vet bills to this point for her. I am very, very grateful that we can afford that with no issue at all. Hard to say how much that means to us.
Now … Something that brought me some MUCH neeed joy.. . Catching 2 very good sized largemouth bass. The first one was about 3 pounds caught on my B-2 bomber… aka the Broken Bluegill.. An amazing lure with great movement and flash in the water. That bass is the one with the picture taken in the sunlight.
The second largemouth bass was caught on a bleeding olive shad Rapala that I have caught many good bass on out there at Powathan creek. The Pro Tech fishing tackle shop in Toano had not had that lure for 3 months… Get one and on the first day back and BAM… That bass is the one in the picture with no sunlight on it. It was very cloudy that day and I was under the trees there on that one Catch that beautiful fish on that same day I got that lure back in the tackle box.
I have gotten an amazing fishing pole and reel combo. A Shimano Expride pole that is carbon fiber and super light, sensitive and super strong. I also have gotten a Shimano Metanium XG reel that is light at 6.4 ozs and tremendously good casting and a true top level fishing reel. Both combined cost $750 retail. It will very, very likely be the last big money fishing combo I will buy.
