Smoke coming out of intake

Crankcase breath not working properly.

I think that is the problem. I changed to Castrol Syntec Blend 10W-40 being very careful not to overfill. It is actually slightly under the full line. But it still does it, albeit not as much. It doesn't smoke out the exhaust on shutdown and startup, but it still comes out the intake. I think it is the crankcase breather, but I'm not sure why it would be smoking. Thoughts? No sign of oil fouling on the Spark plug btw.

BTW does this engine have a dip stick?

Yes. Top mounted on the same level as the Gas cap. Not one of the low block mounted ones like the Briggs 3-4HP (500 series)
