Just because people chase money, wealth, fame, etc, it doesn't mean that these things will make them content.
As for "Hollywood," Robin Williams is not part of the stereotypical, Hollywood set that blisters with preening, selfabsorbed idiots. He lives in a regular (nice) neighborhood in San Francisco when he is not shooting a movie. He rides his bike on the streets and is not part of what some of you see as the typical Hollywood crowd. Neither bodyguards nor groupies chase him.
So he has an alcohol problem. Because he's famous he gets put down for it. If one of the "regular BITOGERs" were to come forward and say "Hey, lately I've been looking into the bottle too deep," would the reaction be "Who cares about that drunk bum"? Instead, I bet there'd be an immediate outcry of support. "How can we help? I'm praying for you! Get well soon! (*singing Elaine voice*)"
Jeez, some of you guys are harsh, I won't even comment on ethics and on being fair! I surely need a stiff drink now.
