Small Air Impact Gun

I have a large 1/2" impact gun that I use frequently around my home garage for taking off tires, and doing other large jobs in and around the car like suspension and steering repairs. There have been several times when doing stuff in the engine bay that I could have used a much smaller, less powerful and more maneuverable impact gun to take apart engine components...especially rusted parts. I currently have a 30 Gallon Husky Professional (CH USA) that puts out 5.5CFM at 90PSI. Any recommendations?

Best of both worlds: I just got an Ingersoll Rand Titanium 1/2" gun...lots of power, but much smaller and half the weight of the previous 1/2" gun...for really tight spaces, I use the 3/8" air ratchet...

I vote for the 3/8" air ratchet, it will be very handy.

I have that but I don't find it very useful. When I bought it, I was thinking it would be perfect for all the front of the motor work especially anything aluminum housed - water pumps, thermostats, alternator brackets, ect. Instead, it acts more like a loud, oversized air ratchet.

You should take a look at an IR 2115TIMAX. It is made in the USA and has a really nice compact size.

Probably the most used tool by technicians during my time with a cat dealership. With quality 3/8" universal impact sockets in 9/16, 3/4, 16mm and 18mm. A whole lot of work can be done in a short time.

I've got got this compact impact gun from Northern Tool. It's their in-house Klutch brand. It's reasonably powerful, but won't take off big, rusty suspension bolts like a monster gun will.
