We are going on year 14 with our Select Number bed.
I purchased the midrange model, it was called the 4000 at the time.
I purchased during the yearly model change, paid $1,700 for a King, which was $500 less than the newer model in the store, which was exactly the same except for a cover change.
The only issue that we have had with ours was the side bolsters on Mrs. Tdbo's side. That issue presented itself because she confuses the side of the bed with a chair. The original bolsters on my side are solid.
I purposely purchased the wired remotes. Both still work well as new.
We went with the Select Comfort because with my back issues, I need a firm bed. She prefers soft. With this bed, no one has to compromise or be uncomfortable.
This mattress has lasted as long as the two previous mattresses combined. Therefore, I view it as cost effective because components can be replaced instead of the whole unit.
We would not hesitate in purchasing another.
