Silk browser alternative

I'm not impressed with the Silk browser on my Kindle Fire, any thoughts or recommendations for an alternative browser? Thx

Is Google Chrome available? I just bought a Fire HD 7 for my g.f. and of course had to play with it first

Silk seemed to work fine, what don't you like about it?

I get a lot of error messages stating the browser is not responding, usually right after it freezes up. Not a huge fan of Chrome either.

Silk is Chromium-based, just like Chrome. If one doesn't work well, I'll bet the other doesn't, either.
