Shrimp chips anyone?

I grew up with this thing, it has a similar texture to Fried Pork Skin but a flavor of shrimp. I remember my grandma used to fry a whole bunch when I visit her as a kid. They are clear tiny acylic plastic like before deep fried and puffy/white/spongy/crispy afterward. The MingFai brand from Indonesia is my favorite.

You mean Prawn crackers...yum. [Smile] We call this "Kropek" in the Phils..we usually dip this in mild sugarcane vinegar(akin to malt vinegar when eating fish 'n chips..). "Besuto" is the brand of choice.. This reminds me, I have a bag in the cupboard waiting to fry... [Big Grin]
