Nice tractor! I've heard good things about Branson Are you fully out of Florida now? We're headed down to the gulf coast, south of Tampa, for three weeks on Tuesday.

Here's my New Holland TC45 doing work when I was building my garage a few years ago.

And here it is back in the same garage, but having work done to it.

BTW prepare for the heat. It seems a little hotter than usual lately, and we are in dire need of rain. Everything is brown where I live.
Cold and rainy up here in VA today. Daytime high of 54. Our rental house is gulf front, so bring on the heat!

Looks like you're well on your way to being a full time resident of Tennessee. You bought a tractor...no going back now. Haha

My wife dragged this home a few years ago. 56 or 57 Case roundnose. Not sure of the exact model or year. It is a 300 series. I think 310 or 311. Has an eagle hitch and triple drive that allows it to go pretty fast. Too fast for a tractor anyway.

I had to tune it up and replace the hydraulic seal under the seat as well as replace all fluids. Runs good. It has a clutch like a car and not an automatic like newer ones are.

Has Castrol 20w50 in it at the moment.

Kioti makes a nice tractor I think. Dealer was to far from my location or they would have been high on my list. LS as well is another brand I considered.
Yep, its funny how dealerships are spaced out. Closest to me we have a New Holland/Mahindra dealer, then 2 good Kioti dealers(both owned by tractor mechanics), an MF dealer, then almost an hour away are the big Kubota and JD dealers. We also had an LS dealer but I was pretty sure they weren't going to be around long and they were not.
I think our tractors have virtually the same loader though, near identical specs and they look very similar. I bet both Branson and Kioti use the same manufacturer in the US for loaders. Kioti ships their tractors without wheels and loaders and they get made in USA ones put on, pretty close to Branson's HQ.
I thought about trading up for a Kioti NX6010 for pto hp similar to your tractor to run that round baler, but it was going to be alot and its my buddy's baler and he may get smart one day and get out of the small scale hay business!
What's the jobs your have in mind for your tractor?

This is my 2018 Kubota BX23S. I only have 2 acres but this machine has been a Godsend for me because of my bad back.View attachment 58837
Last week my Dad's buddy dug some holes for deck post with a BX25 and I was impressed how well the hoe worked and how tight it was for the 500hrs on it. I've used a hoe a size up and was a bit skeptical when it showed up but the BX did the job pretty quickly.

I agree With Kioti in NC (I think), Branson in GA, LS in NC and TYM in NC I expected a little more penetration in the SE US. Even Mahindra in TX.

LS was the hardest for me to find, TYM had a dealer somewhat near me in Ocala FL but I really wanted to buy from a dealer in TN. Some of the dealer of these brands were a little to mom and pop for me and seemed to focus on ZT mowere of other brands. Fortunately there were actually 3 Branson dealers within a hour drive to my new property, with one within 5 miles. I had a Bobcat dealer nearby in FL which I think is rebranded tym but the guys there rubbed me the wrong way.

Honestly I was leaning towards the Branson anyway so it worked out just fine. I just like the fact that Branson has no ECM, the diesel is not common rail and most items on the tractor seemed really easy to service. Price was very competitive, dealer seemed nice but time will tell on that, they seem strong enough that they are going to last.

Going into this I thought there was no way in the world I was not going to buy a Kubota, but most Kubota dealers suffer from the same "our tractors sell themselves so deal with it". I did have on salesman at a dealer that seemed very honest when comparing the different brands I discussed and did seem to have genuine respect for Branson. He focused the differences on what he thought mattered which was dealer availability, service and ease of getting parts. Also resale, but I plan to keep this tractor for many years so that was a non issue. Besides my Kubota L3000 does not seem to be worth much at all.

JD and Deutz Fahr where also near me but DF had all giant machines meant for bigger operations and JD was more $$ than anyone without even having stock.

5 years from now I hope I feel the same, I think I will but one ever knows. As an aside I loved that apples to aplles the Branson seemed to be a heavier unit compared to competitors in its class. Downside Kubota had a class I/II 3 point and the Branson only has class I

At the time I got mine, I found the DKSE to be the sweet spot for weight, refinement, and cost. I know a guy who works at Kubota canada and after a couple years they get to buy a tractor at a discount, so he got a L3560 HST with a cab, loader, which is a nice tractor but I thought he'd get the Grand L with more hp atleast. Then I got a Kubota flyer in the mail and his 35hp tractor is like $60+k list price! So even with a whopper discount that is not cheap! I could have got mine with cab for half that in 2011 and I'm sure the HST+ is nice but not nice.
I think the korean tractors are definitely "good enough" and have lots of features built in that you have to pay for with some other brands. Interesting that the branson isn't computer controlled? What's the emissions equipment on it? Mine is indirect injection with glowplugs but it seems to burn pretty clean. No visible smoke at all unless its tapped out on hp and the rpms are falling. I tend to run it at 2000-2100 unless I need pto rpms up.

So the Branson still has a non common rail diesel which I like. It has a dpf filter on it for emissions, with a sensor that is connected to a data logger. Once the data logger senses the dpf is full it light a dashboard light and you put the tractor into manual regen.

It's very easy to defeat, unplug the data logger and replace the dpf with a muffler. Not something I am going to do as I like clean air but I like that it is simple and my tractor wont go into limp mode.

Everything on this tractor seems very simple a feature that eventually sold me on it. The price helped as well :)
