Should I change oil? 7.5L

7.5L Ford .... change oil 1 year ago and since then has put 1,000 miles on it. It still looks brown.

I used Chevron Delo 400 15w/40

Change it just for safety. Engines cost more then oil

It sat most of the time. All winter for example.

Just take it out for a trip long enough to get to full operating temp for a half hour or so. Any water should boil off by then.

There is no reason this oil shouldn't last a reasonable time in actual service.

I'm with Norm, as long as you have something as good as Delo, or even Rotella 15-40. HOWEVER, it is only 8.44 or 6.88 per gallon at Walmart...pretty cheap insurance.
