Shot and a beer?

Never knew this was a thing.

I've added a 1-2oz of bourbon to Yuengling for years. I've called it fortified beer. Which bourbon depends, 1792 is the staple. I've also got a bottle of Elijah Craig barrel proof that I just wasn't able to do straight, so I've mixed most of it in with beer.

Talking to my grandpa back when he was alive he said most guys did this. He worked in the coke ovens/coal mines. He said in area he and I grew up it was a “Imp and a Iron” or (imperial whiskey and Iron City) beer
