It's not a hose, it's a hose fitting perhaps.
Does it go through into the airspace on the dirty side of the filter?
Is there another way into the airspace on the dirty side of the filter?
Name vehicles which have Meriva B engines.
Okay, yes, it definitely looks like a fitting for a hose.
Regarding your second question about whether it goes into the dirty side of the air filter, I'm not entirely sure, so I've attached a video. Hopefully, it will give you a clearer view of the connection and help understand where it leads.
The engine in my car is a 1.4 liter turbo petrol (gasoline) with 120 horsepower, and the engine code is A14NEL.
Also, as mentioned before, an aftermarket LPG system has been installed in the car.
looks like its on the intake side that pulls air into the air box. it could be missing another piece but being its behind the headlight it acts as a ram air effect
Thanks for pointing out that it looks correct according to that parts catalog image!
However, I'm still a bit curious about the length difference compared to some of the engine bay photos I've seen online. Could it be that there are different configurations for different production years or specific models of the Meriva B?
Also, regarding the "ram air effect" mentioned earlier, do you think that the shorter length and position behind the headlight in this specific setup would still provide a noticeable benefit? I'm just trying to understand if there could be any drawbacks to a shorter intake like this, such as drawing in warmer air from the engine bay.
