Shell Spirax HD Gear Oil (85W-140)

I picked up 8 quarts of this to use as break-in oil when I re-gear my JLUR to 4.88 from 4.10. It was $2.39 a quart on Pep Boys ebay site with free shipping.

Curious if anyone has used it and what experiences they had with it..

Eaton recommends it, and you got a better price than Racer47:

When researching fluid to use with the Eaton Truetrac, the Eaton performance technician pointed me towards 'Shell Spirax HD', ... but recommended against using anything from Valvoline or Napa.

Shell 5921212091 Spirax HD Gear Oil 85W-140 is still available. I ordered online from Pep Boys. It even lists this exact manufacturer part number. Todays price is $2.72 a quart and $7 to ship 4 qts.

It’s good stuff. Running it in my F250 right now
